Privacy Policy

Overview

Tekyous (tekyous.dev) is a tool discovery and stack planning platform for developers. This policy explains what data is collected when you use the site, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

We collect minimal data and do not sell or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. The only personal data we collect directly is your email address when you subscribe to our newsletter.

Analytics

We use self-hosted Umami to track page views, referral sources, and general usage patterns. Umami sets no cookies and stores no personally identifiable information. It uses a session-level identifier to distinguish unique visits; this identifier is not linked to any personal data and does not persist across sessions. All data is stored on our own server and is not shared with third parties (umami.is/privacy).

As tekyous.dev is served through Cloudflare, Cloudflare also collects aggregated traffic statistics at the network level - no additional script, no cookies, no identifiable data (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy).

We use PostHog to track in-product events such as which tools are explored and how the stack builder is used. PostHog also records anonymised session replays - interactions such as clicks, scrolls, and navigation paths - to help us understand how the product is used and identify usability issues. No personally identifiable information is captured in these recordings; form inputs are masked by default. PostHog stores a session-level identifier in localStorage to link events within a session. This identifier is not linked to any personal data and is not used for cross-site tracking or advertising. Session data is retained for 90 days (posthog.com/privacy).

Contact form

When you submit a message via the contact form, your name, email address, and message content are sent to us via Web3Forms. This data is used only to respond to your inquiry, is not shared with third parties beyond Web3Forms' own processing, and is retained only as long as needed to handle your request (web3forms.com/privacy).

Newsletter

You can subscribe to our newsletter by providing your email address. Subscriptions are managed through Brevo. We collect only your email address - no name, phone number, or other personal details are required or stored.

Your email is used solely to send newsletters about Tekyous (new features, tool recommendations, platform updates). We do not share your email with third parties for marketing or any other purpose. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link included in every newsletter email (brevo.com/privacypolicy).

No account data

Tekyous does not currently require or offer user accounts. No passwords, profile data, or personally identifiable information are stored on our servers.

Third-party links

Tool pages on Tekyous link to external websites (documentation, GitHub repositories, vendor sites). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review each site's privacy policy before sharing personal information with them.

Your rights

If you are a newsletter subscriber, you can request deletion of your email from our mailing list at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email or by contacting us at [email protected]. For any other privacy concern, reach out to the same address and we will respond promptly.

Policy updates

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Tekyous after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
