About Zapier
Zapier is a no-code workflow automation platform, founded in 2011, that connects web apps through a trigger-and-action model. A Zap starts on an event in one app (a new Salesforce lead, a Gmail message, a Stripe payment) and runs one or more actions in others (create a Notion page, post to Slack, add a row to Google Sheets), all set up in a step-by-step builder without code.
Multi-step Zaps can add Paths for conditional branching, Filters that stop a run unless criteria match, Delay steps, and Formatter steps for reshaping text, numbers, and dates. With more than 9,000 supported apps, Zapier has the largest integration library of any automation tool, which is often the deciding factor when a niche SaaS product needs connecting.
Zapier has grown beyond Zaps into a bundle of related products on one account. Tables stores data that Zaps read and write, Interfaces and Forms build simple front ends, Canvas maps a process visually, and Agents run AI assistants that act across connected apps. An MCP server lets AI clients call Zapier actions directly. Copilot builds Zaps from a plain-language description.
